We do an "on-line" activity every other month for my modern quilt guild meeting. We each make one or more blocks (if you want and if you have time) according to an assignment on our blog. We put them in a pile and have a drawing. The winner gets all the blocks. You get an entry in the drawing for each block you contribute. This month, we were asked to make these economy blocks. You can see our assignment here, on the Great Lakes Modern Quilt Guild blog, and you can find the tutorial for the blocks here, on the Red Pepper Quilts blog. These are my contribution. I challenged myself to work completely from my scrap boxes of 3.5" and 5" squares (trimmed down to the right size). Super fun and easy. I love blocks like this...that are made a little oversized so you can trim them down. They all turn out so nicely. Folks are really creating a lot of cute blocks with this assignment. I hope I win. I probably won't! LOL. A girl can dream!
Happy Easter, everyone! I hope you have a super weekend.
Bye for now!

I always love these blocks. One of these days I'll make some for myself. Did you win?
