I tried to put myself on a moratorium from buying books this summer (I have way too many and had to thin my collection before moving, so the thought of buying more books was painful). I walked by this book at least four times and resisted it each time. But, by the fifth time, I could no longer resist. The quilt on the cover is so beautiful, and all the quilts inside are equally beautiful. The author presents great ideas for having triangle exchanges with your friends so you can have lots of variety in your fabrics. I LOVE this idea and cannot wait to try it with my friends. If you love William Morris and the Arts and Crafts movement, this book is for you. It has some fantastic applique designs you can use to make quilts, pillows, and the like. It contains some interesting history about William Morris and his designs as well. This book is full of eye candy that you will love. The authors shows you how she reinterpreted actual William Morris designs to inspire her applique motifs. I haven't made anything from this book, but I would sure like to.
