On Friday, I received a squishy package in the mail. It was from my SIL, Linda. She lives near Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and gets to go to Nancy's Notions all the time.
You might remember that I saw that hilarious "boy toy" Christmas fabric. Well, Linda picked up a few yards for me (buy two get one free) while she was there and sent it to me.
Linda noted that the boys' faces are pretty young looking and that maybe these are a bit perverted. I agree, but that's why I think it's so funny. I have no idea what I'll make out of this stuff, but I thought it would be fun to stuff away for just the right "gag" occasion. Too funny.
When I opened up the fabric, look what was tucked inside. Linda saw this pea pod fabric there and got some for me. What a pleasant unexpeted surprise! I am thinking of that pincusion I posted earlier, or the pencil cases. Hmmmm....there's lots I think I could do with these. I'll have to consider. It would be fun to scan it and use it for my blog banner. Would that be a violation of copyright? Probably. Sigh.
Top-Left to Right: A fun shopping tote, a really cute wonky striped quilt, a sachet for the closet
Bottom-Left to Right: A cute table runner, an eyeglass case, and a beach blanket with pockets on each corner for putting rocks in to keep it from blowing in the wind (what a great idea!)
I really liked all this. Thanks Linda! I put a check in the mail to you for the fabric and postage!
Wish I could go visit Linda more. First off, she's a great SIL. Second, I want to go take some classes at Nancy's. Maybe someday...
Until next time,
