Last night was my late teaching night. Imagine my delight when I came home to a box with this inside! Amanda Herring, The Quilted Fish, has designed a new fabric line for Riley Blake Designs called Flutter. As usual, it is gorgeous! I feel so lucky! Amanda sent me a layer cake and a rolie polie to play with! You guys are going to like this line!
Here's a better look at some of the fabrics in the line. This is some yardage Amanda sent me to play with for a project I am working on to share with everyone! I love the colors! And the designs. Here, let me show you a little closer look.
The main focus fabric. It comes in red and turquoise blue. I love the subtle little butterflies in the background and the big flowers.
And check out these delicate butterflies!
This is one of my favorite fabrics in the line. I love the text combined with wild flowers. And I like how the text is going both directions so that you can use this as a nondirectional fabric. Brilliant.
And I just love this fabric! It could be Christmas ornaments or would go with all kinds of other modern fabrics. It's a favorite, too. (Who am I kidding? You know I love it ALL, right?!)
And how about these awesome flowers? Can you see doing some coll fussy cutting with these?
And some really wonderful big polka dots. Loving the addition of orange this time around!
I am just really excited about this new line. I can't wait to start playing with it this weekend! Yippeeee!
It's available now! I know The Intrepid Thread has it. And so does the Fat Quarter Shop. So does the Missouri Star Quilt Company. I'm sure lots of other places have it, too. But these are some of my favorite haunts. :-)
Have a great weekend, everyone! I'm heading up to Grand Rapids on Saturday to sew with Caroll, Buffie, Adrienne, and the gang. Looking forward to it!
Until next time,

Love this fabric! You are a lucky girl to get to "play" with the fabric :)
Hugs
Donna

Thanks for sharing this! I've been looking for some fresh new fabric to make a graduation quilt for my granddaughter and I think I may have just found it(please tell me that I don't look old enough to have a granddaughter graduating from high school :-)).

I have been drooling over this line (especially the blue color way) but have been holding back until I get back from California. I will look forward to seeing what you do with them.
