Hi Everyone,
Just a quick post. Sorry I've been MIA again! Man! I tell you, I can't seem to catch a breath right now. Work has me hopping so fast, and then I had some other deadlines, too. To be honest, when I've had the time to make a blog post, I have just been too blasted tired to do so. Or I needed to download photos. Or I needed to take photos. Or I had the photos and just didn't feel like writing! So, instead, I've taken that time to relax and read YOUR blog posts when I can.
One of my deadlines was for a couple of new Quilted Fish projects from the new line, Flutter. Check this out....I broke out the ruffler foot for this project. Oh. My. Gosh. I have a favorite new toy. I have had this foot for a couple of years and have never played with it before. I can't wait to show you what I made. But I can't show you yet!
Do you have a ruffler foot? Have you played with it before? Or have you been sort of scared to, like I have been?
I have to tell you, I loved this fabric line when I got it in the mail, but now that I've worked with it I love it even more! It is one of my favorites of all time at this point!
I also free-motion quilted my project. I had to take a deep breath and dust off the big girl pants to do it. It's been a while. I tried a new tool I bought at Market last spring. It is Sharon Schaumber's Quilt Halo. I'll blog more about this later, but I have to tell you, this made a HUGE difference for me. I LOVE IT! It actually helped me enjoy free-motion quilting. This is one tool I'm so happy I bought! More later on it, when I can show you my project.
I've been doing some other sewing, but I can't show it yet, because they are gifts, etc. Ack! So sorry!
Papa Pea and Sweet Pea are in the kitchen right now making pie dough. I'm enjoying listening to them be goofy together. It's funny.
I hope to have time to do a Really Kinda Random post tomorrow. I do have a few things to contribute. We'll see.
For all my US friends, Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. We are having a very, very low key Thanksgiving. Just the three of us. A quiet day at home together. We'll have a good meal, but probably not a traditional one. We just want to enjoy some quiet time together, life has been so busy. I hope you have a very wonderful time with your families, enjoying the holiday.
Until next time,
Eek. I almost didn't do really random thursday tomorrow. But changed my mind. This makes me want to get out my ruffler! Oh, and those orange and white polka dots. Well you probably know how I feel about them!

Happy Thanksgiving, Stephanie to you and your family!! I know you will enjoy a nice, quiet, peaceful day...just what we need when life gets crazy. I can't wait to read more about the halo. I need something to ease my pain when FMQ ;-)

Hhhmmm.....I think I'm being tempted by the ruffle foot! :) I'm very interested in your thoughts on the quilt halo. I am not a fan of my own free motion quilting, but this does look like something that could help with it. Looking forward to your review on that! Happy Thanksgiving!!!! xoxo

In spite of all your busy-ness, it's nice to see you still have time for such lovely sewing projects. (I'm looking forward to those days over Christmas break.) I love seeing the ruffle foot in action. Wonder if my machine came with one of those...
