...Finishing up another little duffle bag out of Lucy's Crab Shack and my labels.
Thanks to Brooke for thinking of me and giving me some extra labels. The bag on the left is the one I blogged previously (with information on the pattern and a pattern review). I added a zipper pull from Zipit on Etsy. I love it and use it all the time for my iPad cord. I made this new one (on the right) a little bigger (the pattern has four sizes). It was even easier to make than the tiny one. I made my own fabric for the outside, using scraps from the tablerunner I made.
...Lucy's Crab Shack kite fabric.
I lined the larger duffle with pieces of the kite fabric that were left over from the placemats I made. I had to piece some to make them large enough, but no big deal. A lot easier than making the scrappy fabric that is on the outside. I love it.
...A little coin purse from my mom--sent for no reason except to say, "I'm thinking of you."
I love the sentiment on this coin purse. I think my life is all about "Plan B!" I love the bright colors. And how fun does it look leaning up on the birdhouse Sweet Pea painted this summer? She loves "projects." The birdhouse was one of her summer projects. Thanks, Mom, for thinking of me. I love it.
Shelly sent me this little pincushion as a surprise gifty when she returned Lincoln's Watch to me after quilting it. Is it not the most adorable thing ever? And I love that she used The Quilted Fish's fabric. If you want to make this totally adorable pincushion, Shelly has a free tutorial for making it on Riley Blake's website. Thanks for thinking of me, Shelly!
...Winning a really cute free pattern!
Henry Glass Fabrics had a blog hop recently. There were a ton of prizes if you left comments here and there. And I happened to win this cute pattern. What a thrill it is to win. Thank you Henry Glass and Holly Hill Quilt Designs for thinking of me! Hmmm....Maybe I need to have a giveaway this week. Stay tuned!
...Enjoying silly moments with this kid.
I miss her a lot during the day now that she's back in school! I am thinking of HER!
What's making you happy today?
Until next time,

I love your pouches. You make them look so professionally done! That coin purse your mother sent is adorable! Congratulations on your win! That E is so darn cute! Thanks for sharing.

At the moment I'm not happy - the same computer issues on campus. It is still not fixed and I feel like I'm getting no where with Computing Services.
I have started a new routine which is making me happy though. I am not turning on my computer until 9 am at the earliest and 9:30 am if I can help it. I'm using this time just for me - sewing, exercising or something else I want to do. I've been doing it two days and I love it! Hopefully I can keep it up.

P.S. I gave a Plan B hand towel to my best friend, and then after she passed away two years ago, her husband gave it back to me. I haven't known quite what to do with it, until today. I'm going to make a zipper pouch of out of it. Thanks for the great idea!!

Those zipper pouches are so cute! I was going to say they're the cutest, but Sweet Pea is the CUTEST EVER! And that picture is adorable! I just want to scoop her up and give her a big hug. The only problem is that that picture makes me miss her ever so much!

Love the cute little purse! And Sweet Pea is my kind of girl with that birdhouse! I love birdhouses! What's making me happy today....I'm at my sister's house and she dropped me by Dunkin' Donuts to get a donut for breakfast. When have I ever done that? Probably more than 10 years ago...if then! It was fun and so unexpected! It made me happy. Congrats on winning the pattern!! I saw where you won...lucky duck! :)
